How Safe From Radiation Are Japanese Medicinal Products

We have received an inquiry on how safe from radiation is Benicar HCT.

A representative from the pharmaceutical company explained that the product is actually produced outside Japan. However one or more substances involved in the manufacturing of Benicar HCT originate from Japan. All substances in production facilities are monitored for radiation and are safe, the representative said. Pharma manufacturers in Japan are implementing various measures to assure that their products and production sites are free from radiation contamination. An executive from medical devices company was quoted by a leading Japanese economic newspaper as saying: “We have thoroughly inspected the levels inside and outside our manufacturing facilities -- including the manufacturing site, warehouse, employees and products - but found no problem”.
